As I sit here, eating my peaches, I think of you, realizing things aren't always as bright and sweet as they may seem.

And as I sit here, drinking my water, I think of him, realizing things aren't always as fresh and clean as they pretend to be...Knowing he may meet a similar fate...knowing, any day now, I might lose him too.

So as I sit here, eating my peaches and drinking my water, I realize how unfair life can be, how innocent souls are taken in the cruelest of ways...And I can't help but thinking "I'm next."

These perfect peaches aren't so perfect, this pristine water's not so pristine, 'cuz the goop still covers those peaches and the water still contains that poisonous lead. Nothing's perfect. Nothing, not even the brightest and sweetest and freshest of things.
